Measure locally.
Share deliberately.

Vmax check processes camera, LiDAR and measurement data for its core function locally on your iPhone. This policy distinguishes app use, website access and feedback you deliberately send.

IOS APP

Data processing in Vmax check.

Camera, LiDAR and surroundings

The app uses the camera, ARKit, LiDAR depth data and spatial environmental features to capture route points, re-align the measurement field, detect vehicles and estimate speed. These live sensor images are processed on the device and are not sent to us or a measurement backend.

Route profiles and observation point

Profile name, speed limit, spatial A–D geometry, quality values, reference images, optional world maps and an optional coarse GPS location are stored locally in the app container. Location is only used for a non-blocking plausibility warning.

Measurements and vehicle images

Successful records may include speed, time, direction, partial distance, point and inlier counts, quality data, diagnostics and a local JPEG of the detected vehicle. Images may contain vehicles, registration plates, people or surrounding features. Data remains on the iPhone until deleted in the app, removed with the app or deliberately exported.

Permissions

iOS asks for permission before camera or location access. Optional location access can be revoked in iOS Settings. Measurement requires camera and ARKit; it generally remains available without location.

Export and deletion

Profiles, CSV files, diagnostics and images leave the app only through a user-initiated share or export action. Local data can be removed through the provided management features or by deleting the app.

FEEDBACK

Email only after your action.

Feedback links open the mail client configured on your device. Only when you send the message do we receive the sender address, content and voluntarily attached files. We use this information to answer the request and improve the app.

Review images and logs before sending and remove unnecessary personal data. Support communication is deleted when it is no longer needed for handling and reproducible troubleshooting, unless statutory retention duties apply.
